Unusual workings in Potters Bar
As the weather was much better today for photography and video, I took a trip over to Potters Bar this morning, just for an hour, and a few odd bus workings were noted. There were two Enviro 400 buses running light having worked on route W8, these buses should of course be on route 263, although it's not that uncommon to see them elsewhere. By far the oddest working was a small DLM on commercial route 84, pictured here working through Potters Bar to St Albans, the route should be worked by long Enviro 200's. More of today's photos can be seen on my flickr site, here: My flickr site. A video featuring various light running buses, plus buses in service on routes 84, 298 and 313 is here on YouTube: Bus video. I then took a drive down to the Cranborne Road to try and video a few trains, although the high fence did get in the way a bit. Must take a step ladder next time! Superb value from my local Co-op!
My local Co-op has had some fantastic half price offers over the past couple of weeks. Items that we regularly buy, such as thick Richmond sausages, Jaffa Cakes, 6 pack of Orange Fanta and Sprite as well as Baking potatoes have all been on half price offer. But by far the best value has been a 4 pack of large tins of Princes Tuna, usually £6.99 (even in Tesco it's £6.99) but in the Co-op these have been just £3.49. Amazing value. And no, I didn't buy all these in one visit!

The New Bus for London - aka The Borismaster
The new bus for London, the so-called 'BorisMaster' was shown off to the public for the first time in December 2011, and then continued to make visits to various London boroughs. My photo here shows the bus at Golders Green on 6th January 2012. I must say that I liked the interior very much, the seats were much more comfortable than other new buses around today. The look of the vehicle though still takes a bit of getting used to.
Sadly, on this day the sun was way too bright and low in the sky to take any decent photos, so this was the best I could manage. There is also a rather nice video on YouTube here: Borismaster on YouTube

Selfish Parking
Here is one of my pet hates, selfish drivers. Only the biggest of all moron's would park like this. Okay, so the car park is not exactly full, but that's not really the point, is it? These kind of idiots are not fit to be behind the wheel of a motor vehicle. Location is my local Co-op store in January 2012.

Leyland National's on London bus route 210
There has been a lot of discussion on the Google bus group, The London Bus Scene, recently, about the Leyland National type buses that used to work on route 210 between Finsbury Park and Brent Cross Station. So lets get this blog started with one of my photos of KJD539P collecting passengers in Golders Green bus station back in 1989.
